da aviator aposta: Rangers showed interest in re-signing Charlie Adam from Stoke City earlier this summer, according to The Telegraph.
What’s the word?
da brwin: The Scottish Premiership is up and running, but clubs in the region still have time to get some transfers over the line.
One link that has come out of the blue is an alleged return to Ibrox for Charlie Adam.
The Scotsman spent six years playing for the Gers before joining Blackpool in 2009.
Adam went on to have a year-long spell at Liverpool before signing for Stoke, where he has been ever since 2012.
However, the midfielder has dropped down the pecking order and is deemed surplus to requirements at the Bet365 Stadium.
The Telegraph claims that Rangers expressed an interest in signing Adam earlier in the window, but the likelihood of a deal coming to pass is slim.
Should Gerrard revisit this?
At the age of 32, Adam is edging closer towards the latter stages of his career, and while having experience is important in a side, he is not right for the Gers at this moment.
Gerrard is aiming to create an exciting team that can challenge the dominance of Celtic.

Adam made just 11 Premier League appearances for Stoke last season, and five were starts.
The midfielder could be rusty, and he does not have the ability to change a game from the centre of the park.
Gerrard should be considering other targets.
