Stuart Dallas has struggled for a starting spot at Leeds United this season, but injury forced him out of Sunday’s Championship game against Middlesbrough.Despite not being in the squad, the Northern Ireland international watched his teammates take on Boro at Elland Road. The match had more significance than a general league encounter as it was against Leeds’ former manager Garry Monk. The ex-Swansea City boss took over at the Riverside in the summer after leaving the Whites following one season in charge.Leeds drew first blood in the clash, with Pablo Hernandez getting on the scoresheet inside the first 25 minutes.Ezgjan Alioski doubled the Whites’ lead 10 minutes after the half-time break, and even though a penalty from Britt Assombalonga pulled one back for Boro, it was not enough to inspire a revival. The victory ended a miserable run of just two wins in nine Championship games, and the club now reside sixth in the standings, level on points with Middlesbrough, who occupy the final playoff spot. After the match, Dallas took to Twitter to give his verdict on the result.
