da gbg bet: As reported by The Mirror, Chelsea are planning a sensational raid on Manchester City this summer for one of their top stars.

What’s the story?

da betsson: Chelsea already have the likes of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa at their disposal but they’re planning on adding even more attacking talent to their squad.

The Mirror reckon the Blues are ready to make a move for Sergio Aguero in the upcoming transfer window and are willing to pay up to £75m to land their man.

With the future of Costa unclear at Stamford Bridge, a move for the Argentinian would certainly reduce the risk of a Chelsea slump should the Spanish international move on.

Aguero’s current status

Sergio Aguero was once the first name on the team sheet at Manchester City but under Pep Guardiola he’s had to work hard for a consistent start. That’s never more than now with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.

The 19-year old striker has staked a claim to replace the Argentinian, at least in the short team, with a dynamite display against West Ham mid-week and a match winning brace against Swansea on Sunday.

There’s an argument to say that while Aguero is obviously the more accomplished player, Jesus may just be a better fit in the high pressing, possession based system that Guardiola likes to play.

Capitalising on this clash of styles and making a move for the Argentinian striker could make Chelsea an even more unstoppable force next season as they look to launch an assault on the UEFA Champions League.
